When Sattelites and Submarines Collide

This month, February 2009, two incidents took place, each one being very unusual, each being the first incident of it's kind.

One was the collision of two satellites, an old Russian one with a US one, the other was the collision between two nuclear powered and nuclear armed submarines, a French one and a British one.

Of course, people will say, it had to happen sooner or later but to happen within a few days of each other?

No, what this is, and why I am bothering to write about it at all, is evidence of something astonishing, something that links the two.

It is the astrological effect.

You may notice that I don't have an astrology section, that's because, although I firmly believe in it and it's value to be able to help mankind if it were used wisely and I have some basic ability I think there are plenty of alternative and much better astrologers out there but I just can't help pointing out that this kind of thing, this pair of very similar and strange events is indicative of the fact that astrology is real and deserves serious study and acceptance.

If you want to know if astrology is real or not then why not consider what else might account for such a "coincidence" - and don't be misled by pseudo arguments about "probability" which seem to suggest that it is not strange at all. And as for all those who say, more or less, "God did it" or "the devil did it", well, when you have given all of them a fair shot at an explanation then do what I do, come back to astrology.

Does it matter if science continues to deny astrology, if the religions continue to deny it, if many others do so too? Well, actually it does and it does a lot because with an understanding of astrology we get a glimmer of greater understanding of reality but that is not all as it can give us a greater understanding of each other.

It may be helpful to notice that satellites and submarines have something in common that ought to greatly decrease the chances of a collision - depth, height, altitude. Given this and the fact that airplanes share this this too and, fortunately, so far this month, although I have heard of near-misses, we haven't had a collision of two aircraft but I have to add that if that happens I won't be at all surprised.
