Protecting yourself from a laptop disaster - Introducing the need for protection.

Anyone who owns a laptop needs to assess the value of their data and not just the value of their laptop. If they don't and disaster strikes then the cost could be a lot more than the cost of the laptop.

So it is important to spend some time thinking about the options and the choices available to safeguard that value now rather than when it is too late.

By the time you have finished reading each of these articles you should be able to take action so that a disaster ends up being a minor, almost trivial, nuisance rather than something that could bring, for example, a small business crashing down.

People take out insurance by paying out and getting some promise of reparation in the event of a claim in the event of a loss of some kind. Similarly, every laptop owner should take steps to recover from it's loss, theft, destruction or just serious breakdown but no amount of insurance can provide any reparation for the loss of your data that just happens to be in that laptop and, now you come to think of it, nowhere else either....

Don't end up in that situation.

Be prepared. Be advised. Be knowledgeable.

Take your time and read each of these short articles so that you know exactly how to protect yourself.
